3. Equipment connection process

The process of connecting the diagnostic equipment is carried out step by step.
Following the procedure below will allow you to connect the equipment reliably.

 

The wireless endoscope supports both wireless connection via Wi-Fi and wired connection via USB.

 

◼ Wireless connection

  This function connects the tablet and endoscope main unit without a cable, providing convenient mobility and portability for efficient use in various locations.

1) Switch on the equipment

Start step: Switch on the power first to begin connecting the equipment.

        •  Press the equipment power button.
        •  When the power is switched on, the LED indicator lights up.

2) Check the LED status

Check the LED indicator to confirm that the equipment is operating normally.

• The equipment LED indicator changes from red to blue.
• The equipment device information appears in the search list on the diagnostic device screen.

3) Select the equipment in the diagnostic app

Select the equipment to connect in the diagnostic app.

• Select the desired equipment from the device information list. (Example: GBS-201)

 

4) Check the firmware version

Check the firmware version after connecting the equipment.

• Compare the current version with the latest version. (Example: current 1.01 / latest 1.02)
• Update if necessary.

 

✅ Wireless endoscope firmware update

1) Connect the equipment

- Switch on the equipment and check the LED status.
- Select the device when it appears in the equipment list.

 

2) Prepare the firmware update

- Check the current and latest versions.
- If an update is required, press the ‘Update’ button to proceed.

3) Prepare the firmware update

- Progress is displayed as a percentage.
- Take care not to disconnect during the update.

4) Update complete

- When the update reaches 100%, the equipment power automatically switches off.
- Press the power button to switch it on again and check normal operation.

 

 

5) Connection attempt and completion

Key step: Attempt to connect to the selected equipment.

• When the connection is successful, the “Run” button at the bottom of the diagnostic screen is activated.

• After entering the endoscope function, check that the screen is displayed normally.

 

◼ Wired connection

When the wireless connection of the wireless endoscope is unstable, connect the device directly by wire using the supplied data transmission cable to provide a stable display.

1) Prepare the cable

Prepare the USB cable included with the components.
Check that the endoscope main unit (transmitter module) is switched off.

2) Connect the devices

Connect one end of the cable (USB-C) to the tablet.
Firmly connect the other end of the cable to the endoscope main unit (camera port or module input).

3) Switch on the power

Press the power button on the endoscope main unit to switch it on. (With a wired connection, no separate Wi-Fi connection process is required.)

(1) When the endoscope main unit is switched on, a device connection pop-up appears. Click [Confirm].

(2) When a buzzer sounds from the endoscope and the reconnection pop-up appears, click [Confirm].

(3) When the USB connection pop-up appears last, click [Confirm].

4) Launch and check the app

After entering the endoscope function, check that the screen is displayed normally.

 

4. Real-time monitoring screen

Main screen components

• Connection status and product serial number: You can check whether the equipment is connected normally, and the unique serial number of the connected equipment is displayed.

• Battery level and real-time temperature: You can check the battery status and current temperature in real time, helping ensure safety during use.

• Vehicle VIN information and date/time display: The vehicle identification number (VIN), current date and time are displayed together, which is useful for record management.

5) Gallery access: Save and view captured photos and videos

   You can select multiple images in the gallery to edit or delete them.

(1) Select an image

Select the captured image.

(2) Start editing the image

If editing is required, click the [Image Edition] button at the top left.

(3) Use the editing functions

Select functions such as drawing, changing colours, erasing, text, forward and backward, and carry out the editing.

(4) Save the image

When editing is complete, click the [Save] button to save the image.

 

 

📖 Troubleshooting

(1) Check when connection fails Most common issue

If the equipment cannot connect to the app, basic checks are required.

• Check that the equipment is switched on.

• Check that the LED indicator is flashing normally.

• Check that the equipment MAC address matches the one in the app.

• Try connecting again.

(2) Firmware update

Maintaining the latest firmware is important for equipment performance and stability.

• Check the firmware version (current/latest) in the app.

• Update if a newer version is available.

• Restart the equipment after the update is complete.

(3) Camera overheating Caution required

If the endoscope camera automatically shuts down due to high temperature, safety measures are required.

• Stop using the product immediately if a pop-up warning appears.

• “The camera module can withstand temperatures down to –20°C, but the main unit does not operate normally below 0°C; therefore, the entire system must be used within the range of 0–60°C.

• If the same issue recurs, check the usage environment (engine heat and ambient temperature).
